Wedding Garter: If We Only Had To Rent A Tux Or Buy A Dress And Shoes, But No……
Saturday, January 10th, 2009It’s prom time again for me. I have 3 boys and it has gotten to the point where I dread prom. It costs a darn fortune. I wish the public schools would put restrictions’ on hiring limos and things like that as it is just way too much for single parents to handle when things like gym clothes and yearbooks are more important, in my eyes. I don’t mind the tux, but going out to fancy restaurant is crazy as I don’t even do that with my income. If my boys paid for everything, I’d say do as you please. But they don’t so we tend to get into a few fights along the way. Tomorrow I am going to buy the prom party favors, the personalized prom favors and the small prom favors. Then, I promised my sister I would help her by buying the wedding favors and wedding garter for my nephew’s wedding. The economy has hit a lot a people who have never had to worry about money. Personally, as a single parent that never received a dime of child support, money has always been something to keep a close watch on. My sons have watched me work through some really hard times, so you’d think they would understand. Perhaps they do understand and will displaying this fact to me very soon.
